The last time we saw you was during Uncle CJ's wedding, you were very strong and full of life, and we even played together, little did we know that would be the last time we see each other. When we were travelling back to Lagos, we prayed together, and you carried Chiagozie and say a special prayer for him. Your death came as a shocked to us, but we can’t question our Maker, His will always prevail.

A man full of humility, calm and respectful.

Daddy your love for me is overwhelming. You welcomed me into your home with joy and happiness. You make everyone close to you happy. You always want peace among your children. I have never seen you in a sad mood. Always happy and a lover of old music.

Your grandchildren have been asking grandma that they want to speak with you, but we keep telling them that you are sleeping.

My darling husband, we prayed together, ate together and left for hospital, little did I know that you will not come back again, or that the cold hands of death would snatch you from me so soon. I am extremely heartbroken, but I thank God Almighty who knows the end from the beginning, the creator of all who knows more than any man. We used to pray mid-night prayer together. We do everything together. You were indeed a complete gentleman who was never for one day violent towards me.

We only have memories of all the good times we spent together, but your spirit will live on in our hearts. You were kindhearted, humble and you unconditionally loved and cared for everyone who came close to you. I know you are watching over us. Because of you I have become more tolerant of people, and I have learnt to hold my peace. The only people that dislike you are those that are afraid of hearing the truth.

You would be so very proud of your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren

I pray for the mercies of God upon your soul, may he grant you peace and let the perpetual light shine on you. I will deeply miss you, especially in my quiet moments and trying times. Continue to Intercede for us over there in heaven.

Daddy was a man with heart so pure and kind. Very calm, always smiling and a man full of love. You cannot be his child and be lazy. We were planning to celebrate your jubilee but death took you away. You never stop praising our mom for being there for you and taking care of you.

Though we didn't have much time together, I'm grateful for the moments we shared. I'll never forget the warmth and welcome you extended to me when I first met you. The day my husband introduced us; your kindness and open heart made me feel like part of the family from the very start. Your passing on at this point in time still leaves me and my family in a state of confusion. This is because we never for one day heard that you are indisposed only to wake up on that fateful day to be saddened by the news of your death.

We cannot question the Almighty God since it is His to give life and to take it. May all praise, honour, thanksgiving and adoration be His now and forever. We thank God for the life you lived; for whom you were while with us.

Daddy when I was told you were not feeling fine, I rush down to the hospital to be with you. I prayed and wished for a miracle but God chose to call you to be with him. Death is inevitable, with total submission to the will of God, I am writing this tribute to my dad in heaven. I won’t question God, he knowns everything. He sees the end from the beginning.

Dad, you were the most peaceful and quite man I know. God fearing man and very respectful. To those who know you, no explanation is necessary, for those who don’t know you, no explanation is possible. Dad, you lived a good and fulfilled life.

Though distance kept us apart in recent years, it never diminished the bond we shared. Achaa, your grandkids, and I cherished every moment we spent with you during our Sunday video calls. Your jokes always made us laugh, and your presence — even virtually — brought warmth to our hearts.

Even the kids still wonder why we haven’t video-called you as usual. It’s been hard to break the news to them.

We were looking forward to visiting you soon, especially as we planned to celebrate your Golden Jubilee Marriage Anniversary next year. It breaks my heart that you left us before that joyful reunion could happen - especially when there were no signs of serious illness. I never imagined you would be gone so soon. It still feels unreal.

Yet, even though you’re no longer here physically, your legacy lives on — in me, in my children, and in the countless lives you touched. Your prayers, wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support shaped me into the man I am today.

Thank you for the gift of your love and the values you instilled in me. You will always be my special hero.

The news of your demise came like a shock to me having visited you a week earlier with my sister. We met you sound, strong and healthy shortly did it occur to us that it was our final encounter with you in this existential world.

It is unfortunate that I have to write this tribute which I tried so much to avoid because it is difficult for me to do so. I grew up knowing you as my only brother and when I recall the discussion we had with our late father on how to live together as a United family and foster its growth, l wish you had stayed longer for us to continue to work in that direction.

Your departure from this world was sudden because you never showed any sign of serious sickness.

In fact, you left when you started enjoying the fruits of your labor. But who am I to question the will of God. Therefore, I take solace in the fact that you lived a fulfilled life.

The true measure of a man is how much love he gives, how selfless he shares whatever he can to help, how consistently he lifts others by these measures. Dad was immeasurable. Daddy hates troubles and does whatever it takes to make peace. I was believing that you will walk me down the alter on my wedding day, but God knows the best.

It is difficult for me to explain just how much daddy meant to me and I don't think I'd be able to put it in words; all I can say is that I miss you dad more than I can say. I will miss your wonderful advice.

Your demise is just like a dream till now am still trying to accept the fact that you're gone till I saw you dressed in this coffin.
